BRIEF
Develop an identity for the Stanley Kubrick screening events and exhibitions during the BFI festival.
WHAT I DID
The main visuals are photographs. I created a set of paper-cut sculptures or kirigami–a variation of origami–, set the lighting behind it, and then I shot it!
The hand-cut shapes and folds as well as the paper texture evoke the feeling of irregularity and disharmony of Kubrick’s art, while the spotlights and shadows depict the open endings, coincidences, and inconsistent realities of his movies.
I designed two double-sided-posters-brochures and film tickets.
